Yeah, maybe Millar and Hinds ought to just throw in the towel (a good sports metaphor) and call it a day for Tank. No real shame in it – other cartoonist have ended their strips when they saw the quality had diminished and they were just essentially reprinting old story lines and stretching out the stories way past justification. Whichever Muse that use to inspire M&H has apparently moved on. I think I’ll just delete the link from my favorites – “Tank McNamara” now makes decreasingly less sense as time goes on.
If I didn’t read Tank McNamara, I wouldn’t know when to check the headlines in sports for stories I would have otherwise missed. Sometimes laugh out loud, sometimes wry, sometimes informative, and sometimes a bit of each.
Mr. Millar and Mr. Hinds have one strip. They can’t write about what everyone thinks is the top story. And besides, now they are at the point where THEY can write about what THEY think is the top story….no, it’s not funny every day, but no strip is. I’ll keep reading it, because I like it…..
it’s what the Cardinals might have looked like if they had met Alberts demands. Hope LA doesn’t have to make quite as many sacrifices for him, but I’m happy for Albert and the Cardinals. It was a good run & Albert does good things with the $ he gets paid.

You know, I remember, decades ago, when Tank McNamara used to be funny.

I’m with LL. Tank is relevant, and that makes it funny to me. Maybe it isn’t as funny to you if you aren’t keeping up with sports news?
