Now Nanny Bloomberg want to outlaw popcorn and milkshakes. This is why he needs to be stopped at soda. If the people of NYC don’t stand up to this soft tyrant now, then they will truly have the government they deserve.
Government IS a nuisance to anyone who wants to think and choose for themselves. You have to have SOME kind of government (read “Lord of the Flies” to see what can happen if you don’t), but we just have too much of it. America wasn’t built by rules and regulations.
Jon Stuart on the Daily Show, David Letterman, and many other comedians have had a field day with this. The absurdity of a Mayor interdicting dietary choices in a city that has so many REAL problems, is absolutely ludicrous. Bloomberg has a reality disconnect.
