I’ve said this for years, it’s all about the Vegas line and not the “integrity” of the game. Anything else that comes out of the collective mouths of the N.F.L is pure drivel.
‘Further review’ has grown over the years, but officiating by video replay was introduced into the NFL for the exact same reason it was used in horse racing before that — to ensure that gamblers were not cheated.
(The injury info requirements are also for the same reason)
