Interesting how different Ordnungs use technology. We have gotten furniture from an Amish company who uses computers in the office, but if “English” need to use a telephone they have to go outside to a phone booth installed just for them!
What always baffled me about all of the religious sects (NOT to be confused with “sex”, although they did tend to reproduce!) which abjured inventions that were not found in the Bible, was that they were living in the Western Hemisphere, which also was not found in the Bible!

It’s the Quakers who say “thee” and “thou.” Or used to. The Amish speak a dialect of German. No one seems to be able to get that right.
