Never feel guilty about getting a real tree for Christmas. Real trees for sale on lots come from tree farms, so using a real tree isn’t damaging a forest, it’s harvesting a crop.
We got the opposite problem in our household. My wife and I didn’t feel like going through the hassle of putting up the artificial tree, this year. We bought a small, table size, potted, live tree. We can either keep it in the pot for next year or replant it after the holidays.
Problem is that the kids and grandkids want us to put up the artificial one ! They say it’s more “Christmas” looking – even though our little tree has tiny decorations on it.
