Some people are plain sick… beating people to pulp for s***s and giggles and using soccer as the excuse. There are going to be a few extra hastily covered up beatings and homicides this month in Russia.
Because Russia condones the hooliganism and outright racism of their fans, and PED use by their athletes, they should never have been awarded the World Cup. The spineless, gutless wonders at FIFA even lifted Russia’s suspension to play in the Cup !
I’m a lifelong soccer fan and a retired referee. I have always followed every World Cup with enthusiasm.
This time, not only am I not buying into any of the hype but limiting my match viewing due to my disgust at the entire FIFA fiasco.
