I think Deshaun figured out his opportunity to win in Houston is gone since they traded away their best receiver and some very high draft picks including this year’s 3rd overall and their second rounder which is 4th overall. He obviously does not want to end up like Stafford in Detroit!
“Because he wants respect.” I once worked at a very big bank. It paid people with titles. One person was promoted to Officer and thus could eat lunch in the Officer’s Dinning Room. The cost of the lunch was deducted from his paycheck based on a predetermined amount for five lunches per week. He was a light eater so the cost of his lunches had been very low. He went home and told his wife “I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I got a promotion and the bad news is that I am going to have to take a pay cut”.
I’m not sure if this is referring to a specific player or not. The high profile trade demands I can think of are Stafford and Watson and both of those were signed two-three years ago. (And sure as heck isn’t talking about Brady, who was released by NE instead of giving him an extension)

If you’re talking about Tom Brady, I still think he betrayed his original team.

Doesn’t that contract follow whoever they are talking about? He’ll make that much no matter where he plays.

If I had $156 million I wouldn’t care about respect.
