I’m sure there are lots of interested teams. And this is still pro football, where one bad hit can end a season, and THREE bad hits … well, just go ask Tua which side of his body is the left one and which is the right one, these days.
Lamar is an amazing player, but he has missed 5 games each of the last 2 seasons. I understand him not want to come back not 100% entering a contract year. But in contrast Mahomes hasn’t missed a game the last 2 years, and played while hopping around on one leg to keep his team in the playoffs, which led to his 2nd Super Bowl win, with 3 Super Bowl appearances. Mahomes extension was for 450 million over 10 years, with only $63 million guaranteed at signing, but more can kick in later. So I can see why owners would not want a 100% guaranteed contract for 200+ million. I see no collusion here, just that the owners in general share the same thought process. Also, whether he wants to admit it or not, the lack of an agent to go out there and try to work up deals for him, and start a possible bidding war, has hurt him.
The salaries paid for guys to play with balls is a real waste of resources, yet idiots still pay for the overpriced tickets, snacks, libation and parking. We have a real problem with priorities.
And I have the same opinion about the “play dress up and make believe” industry.

“only $63 million guaranteed at signing.” Joe DiMaggio was blasted for holding out for more than the $25,000 offer for a season in 1938.

Collusion plain and simple.

I wonder what would happen in Murray owned any of those teams.

For a change, I agree with ole Murray. There are lots of teams that would want Lamar as their QB … they just can’t afford him!
