The bigger question is where does Boise State fit in all this? I think all of these things that have been happening are being done so that Boise State will have no legitimate chance at winning the national college football title, plain and simple.

To paraphrase ‘The Incredibles’; “When everyone is on a pro football team, nobody will be on a pro football team.”

Nowhere, apparently.

Gee, remember when colleges were places to get an education, not pro sports farm clubs and playthings for wealthy alumni?

That’s an easy question.

They don’t.

Intercollegiate athletics never has and never will be anything but a gigantic waste.

For football and basketball College athletics is dead. These are now totally professional sports with ‘student’ participation only optional. College SPONSORED sports maybe? The NCAA needs to regroup around the ‘minor’ sports where a scholarship might still be sufficient payment to the athletes. I partially blame all the sports pundits who have totally discounted those scholarships as payment for services for all this mess!

The NCAA’s only concern is the NCAA. Their bologna about “Student-Athletes” is just that. Any concern they had for the athletes evaporated many billions of dollars ago.

We’ve sunk, plain and simple. Just haven’t hit the seafloor yet. We will….

The sooner the NCAA goes away, the better!
