Hi—you old faithful followers of ERB and the Ape Man—I note that our artist John Celardo is still alive and celebrated his 93rd birthday . He was born on Staten Island December 27, 1918, took over the Tarzan strip in early 1950s from Bob Lubbers and did it until Russ Manning took over in the 1960s. Good to know he’s still with us.

You can check out Bob Lubbers too—he was born in 1922 and is still living—long career in comics—took over Tarzan strip in 1950 until about 1954 then worked on Lil’ Abner for Al Capp.

Well if General Yeats is coming to visit (with some sort of problem, no doubt) will he be accompanied by Tarzan’s former “love interest” USAF Nurse Naomi Norman?
