    Good morning oh ye fighters of evil.As we have been taught by the Greats (superman, batman, tarzan) we must now bare the responsibility and journey out.To confront against the ways of bigotry, hate and intolerance.We do this not thru violence but in education and understanding.And though we are fighters of evil, we are most importantly defenders of the good, the pure and the innocent.Hold your heads up high and walk proudly as you depart; for you are now a symbol, a teacher, an example and now a part of legend :D

    Hi Lads—here again before saying good night from the N. W. coast. Katman—so you did cop out and have gone to bed? And WW2Marine Vet—I thought you had the 8 to 12 watch to niight, I came in early for the 12 to 4 watch -I always found this the hardest watch to keep awake at around 2:30 a.m.-but no sleeping on duty!! I answered your question on the date of today’s (Tuesday) Mutt and Jeff comic strip—to day’s strip by Bud Fisher was around 1931 or 1932. Looks like Nam action here with the chopper—will Bilsky be rescued in the nick of time? You’ll have to tune in on Thursday to find out—meanwhile have your Mom be sure to buy you a Box of Wholesome Wheaties or Ralston when she goes to the A&P tomorrow. As for brickhouse, just some Frito’s.

    Buenas Dias tribe mates as we sometimes say in SoCal!I see the breakfast table is just about set, but I’m still waiting for PatyAnn and Mona’s chocolate macademia nut banana pancakes with coconut syrup and Tang!No, Mr. ‘House it’s much too early in the day for chili, would you settle for maple/apple breakfast sausage instead?The Army Rangers can slide down their ropes and assist in Bilski’s rescue, the Gurus should be be no match for M-16s.Now where do you suppose those stoner pygmies are…….?Bwana, another semi-sleepless night in the galaxy for me, so here I am at 2:30am PST—-semi-cop over-and-out!

    The helicopter buzzes the area and lowers a rope to an astonished and fleeing tribe while Tarzan frees the pilot and is airlifted with him to safety? Too easy?

    It would take two men and a boy to lug those huge walkie-talkies around.

    Not to be rude but Gen Yeats calling Tarza? Who the heck else would be running around the jungle with a 40 lb walkie talkie?

    @Katman

    Katman, it’s never too early (or too late) for chili.

    Proper ranch chili sits in a pot on the back of the stove, ready for anyone hungry at any time of the day or night. Fresh ingredients are added any time it gets below the half full mark, and it gets better and better as the years pass,

    To avoid the disaster of having the bottom of the pot fall off, you should transfer the chili to a new pot every New Year’s Day.

    With all the drama that is happening with the rescue of captain Bilski, we are analyzing a breakfast of wolf brand chili and chocolate macadamia nut coffee (is this coffee for real?).

    Quartermain, I see you’ve spied me out at DT & Monty. Actually I’m not hiding. I have noted here before that I don’t comment (ordinarily) on the daily strips, since the storylines have been weak for the most part; but I do comment on the Sunday strips where the stories have better pacing and action and the artwork has been (IMO, of course) better. I do take a look at the daily strip and comments, though…. It’s a jungle out there!
