Who knew they were pirates? I just thought they were regulation comic strip swabbies.

Jambo Tuesday to all tribe mates, swabbies, and pirates!Maybe they’re burying Count Dracula on Tarzan’s beach—he’s going to be VERY upset about that!Greed brings out the worst in people (just look at the US congress) and the big payoff lottery will do the same—-it’s a curse! I’m a whole lot happier with the million$ I earned—Yo-Ho-Ho…I drank a whole bottle of rum Mr. JHughey! :)=

I had the pleasure of rereading Treasure Island a few weeks ago. I have all the Robert Louis Stevenson books illustrated by N. C. Wyeth. In fact I have the whole Scribner collection … all of them illustrated by N. C. Wyeth. … he was the reason I became an illustrator. -All of the fantastic memories from my youth.

As a youngster I was enthralled by Master artist and illustrator N.C. Wyeth’s dynamic watercolors and works based on classic stories like Robin Hood, Treasure Island, King Arthur & The Knights of the Round Table, etc.!
