Tarzan let him off easy. I guess in this context “amok” is to act like a looney psycho, random act of violence thing.

Seems to me that there is a word missing between “to” &Warrick in the third panel!

Amok was obviously trending. It was all the buzz.

As in “I ran amok on Thanksgiving and ate everything in sight!”.

Yes, “amok” had an actual meaning, which included the violence being uncontrollable by the sufferer—Tarzan could tell the attacker was faking.

Looks like Tarzan also got his knee in the fruits while breaking the amok guy’s wrist. Amazing he was able to run away!!

If they’ve run out of Sunday Tarzan strips, they could always go back to the classic Foster and Hogarth strips. (Don’t we wish!)

The calendar for this strip has both last Sunday and today in grey rather than blue indicating that there are no strips for these days. A pity. The Grey Morrow strips were fun but probably even more interesting for many of us would have been the 1948 Sunday strips. I suppose that the 1960s strips were discontinued over some sort of rights issue (the reason why Li’l Abner strips were repeated at GoComics ad infinitum, ad nauseum). I would have liked to have seen the dailies and Sundays through to the end and then maybe back a lot earlier; 1930s anyone?
