Wonder how many rounds that clip held if he was firing that much? He fired at Tarzan on the log, snapped his bow, fired when Tarzan first threw the rock and the author implies many more firings. This might be one of those Saturday morning western guns that rarely run out of bullets.
Does this remind anyone of the movie “My Cousin Vinnie” where Vinnie empties his pistol into the forest? Henri’s rifle doesn’t have a clip. It looks like one of those old rifles that you have to load by pushing cartridges into it one at a time. Also, after every shot, you have to slide the bolt to eject the old cartridge and move the next one into the chamber. So he’s not gonna get well prepared before Tarzan arrives, unless there’s an AK-47 hidden in that shack.

Time for Tarzan to grab a branch and string up a new bow.
