Why would you throw a stone against the iron bars? That would wake anyone. Better throw it at one of these lions. Tarzan will only be able to kill one at a time.

Oh great. More sabre toothed lions for Tarzan to kill.

Yeah, shoulders, climb, etc….

Just need a couple of clubs like old Omat showed, and those kitties will be floor mats in no time.

And a smile came to Tarzan’s lips when he saw and heard the cats.

Looks more like a saber-toothed lion.

Tarzan: I could safely kill them with this bow and these arrows. But where’s the sport in that? Two lions with a knife; now there’s an alpha wave inhibitor.

Hmm. A spear and bow and caged animals. Not quite fish in a barrel, but close enough. Maybe they could save one for Tarzan, so he could snap its poor neck like a twig using the patented Ape-Man Full-Nelson®.

The fact that there are caged lions at the other end of the room means they can’t break through the window bars. Flawless logic.

Two more dead saber-toothed lions coming up on the wedding menu along with thinly sliced and finely seasoned Bolgani sandwiches. Where’s wool-bully Tantor when you really need him to break down the walls?

But they both have killing weapons, so what is the big problem, other than getting through the bars some how?

Never say comics aren’t educational. I had heard of saber-toothed tigers, but not lions. Turns out they were the same. Also, the drawing is way, way off. They branched off the tree that led to modern big cats long, long ago so they looked quite different.
