Send in the apes. Of course. I wonder how that works in Tarzan’s reality since apes have a language and thus are pretty intelligent? What thoughts will the Mahar read?
Tarzan just needs to do with the rest of mind what he does to some of his thoughts…..like thinking of Jane. Which he never does. Seems to have forgotten all about her. Maybe he can use that trick with the Mahar.

Wouldn’t a starving ape think about food?

“I’ll send in the apes! The Mahar won’t be able to read their minds!”
“It’s a pot-bellied flying lizard, but it can read human minds. What makes you think it can’t also read apes’ minds?”

When you think about the Mahar, think “It’s a one-eyed, one-horned flying purple people eater…”

Or how about yodeling in a heard of elephants.

It occurs to me that the one thing this storyline lacks is Rod Serling.
