So, the Mahar is a female, eh? And it had faithful servants too. That means the Mahar is technically the queen in this story.

Not to mention being served for breakfast….

“Hey man, we’re hippies not apelings, no need to call us names, dig it?”

Hey, remember David? The guy the Mahar turned into a vegetable? I wonder if he returned to normal.

Mahar is short for May Harm you.

The coolest thing about ’70s Tarzan is that you can miss a week and not miss a thing. ;-)

Crashing through the foliage is Ramar of the Jungle. He shoots the Mahar and tells the apelings to build a big fire. They will be dining on rare Mahar tonight.

Panel #1 is gorgeous. Manning has been dead for years and he’s still the best.

Basically all a Mahar needs is prey (maybe shelter occasionally). She’d be better at obtaining it than humans (except Tarzan). So her “servants” would be her food reserves.
