Years ago I had a big fluffy brown tabbie with a gentle soul. He brought in a full grown English sparrow one day, gently laid it on the kitchen floor, then watched as it flew up to the ceiling light, flapping around it like a moth. We managed to herd it over to the open window where it flapped up and down the glass, again just like a big insect, before we finally managed to direct it to the opening.
