I have a dominant female cat who makes sure she eats first and decides who gets to come in and out of the house. She does have her moments of generosity. She will bring back a mouse and, after getting credit for the capture, she will relax and let the other cat “train” at mouse catching. I’ve even see her chase it back toward the other cat, if it looked like it was getting away.
