That’s a successful spell. It’s very typical cat behavior.

Our cats were never bothered by “empty” food bowls. We always had 2-3 out for them to nibble out of at leisure. And, no greedy guzzle-guts to snarfle all the kibble, either. We consider ourselves to be blessed by Bastet with smart kitties.

My cats are nibblers, and I make sure their bowl are kept full.

I have a feeling Pippin was not the cat who emptied that food bowl.

My wife actually succeeded in teaching our current cat to claw her scratching post. We think that she really believes that Clawing for Treats is a means of human control. It’s like pressing a button that makes the human give you a treat.

The lure of kibble. My cats think kibble is a treat they get 3 times a day.

So that means Pippi is at least a 5th level cleric to cast Create Food And Water? :)

This is why Pippin wasn’t losing his cool. He knows the magic words.

Abracadabra, the bowl is full!

Ah ! This explains why Pippin wasn’t in the last strip freaking out…he knew it wouldbe all right !

I always suspected Pippin was a magical cat.
