I found our current house pest (Jani the Cat) on New Year day 2011 curled up on the sidewalk, half dead, dehydrated, no more than 6 wks old…I actually brought her home to bury her but she fooled my wife and I so she currently allows us to cohabitate with her in all her healthy, feline-finicky glory.
I did that too one freezing February 2009. My adult daughter bonded immediately with that filthy, starving little cat and they are inseparable to this day.

I bet the cats will have a different idea how that day happened.

“…tiny little bundle of grey fur.” Made me think of Little Fluff. Hope he’s alright where he is now.
