Blue Belle, you tell him! Chesney needs to learn that the rain will fall on him as well as it does on the sidewalks and flowers. Oh Chesney, you just need someone to love you as unconditionaly as you love yourself. You rotten kitty, come here and let me make you purr for an hour or two. I have a warm towel, c’mon, lets dry you off.
Can I start a fund for the reglazing and re-windowing of the warehouse? I promise to pledge not less than $1000.oo, and do a lot of the installation myself. I have lots of plastic and dual sided tape to winterize said windows. I want to keep them as warm as they are in my heart.
@ GRAHAM HARROPI know you are a Canadian, and that it is our Thanksgiving here in the states, and that you have already had yours up there in Canada. However, I feel the need to Thank You for these Ten Cats and Annie. They have brought together a group of people that are just amazing in the size of their hearts. We all love your bunch, and share the love of our own feline adventurers. I feel like I fell into the midst of a family that is so loving that its incredible. My new family extends from the states, to Canada, to the UK, to Germany, to New Zealand, France, etc, etc. Thank you so much for the gift of love these delightfully scampish creatures have brought into all our lives. Blessed Be to you and Annie and all Ten of these wonder filled felines. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Our cats are usually present at mealtime, despite living in a decently sized 2 bedroom apartment, our kitchen is designed for people who eat out 5 nights a week; no counter space a tiny stove, and our kitchen table is one of those folding card tables so the cats make good use of it for sunning and looking out the window. So they often join us in the bedroom for mealtime. The turkey actually weighs less than Poodle by about 4 pounds, I held both yesterday and other than fur and temperature they feel like they weigh about the same. It was the smallest one I could find, as it needs to fit into the toaster oven (minus it’s spine for broth). As a chef it often drives me nuts looking for places to put things during prep and I often end up juggling ingredients and cursing the man who built this culinary abomination. He was kind enough to raise my shower head about a foot during remodeling, without me asking so I can actually stand up in the shower like a person. I’m only sorry I didn’t ask for more space before it was too late to do so.This will be Chester’s first Turkey day, he was with Roy inspecting and sniffing the bird as it set on the table with the groceries yesterday so he knows whats coming. He seems excited and rightly so. There will be a week of Turkey treats for the next week, then comes the 5lb Ham.
Safe travels to anyone who is going anywhere for Thanksgiving this week! I heard New England is in for some snow tomorrow. No sign of snow here in the UK, but it was very frosty this morning. Big Man and Bucky (and Miss Whiskers) are very sensibly making themselves comfortable indoors!
Thank you all again for the birthday wishes! I will have to nag father-in-law to send me that picture.
Ruth, thanks for all the Thanksgiving pics. Have a safe drive to your son’s home and enjoy your grandkids and turkey. I have set my PVR to tape Grumpy Cat, too.
To all of you who are travelling to see relatives for the American Thanksgiving, please drive safely. Then gorge on turkey, watch some football, gorge on leftovers, and then drive safely and come back to us here on Ten Cats.
Finally! Chesney gets his comeuppance! Wet & Soggy – love all the pictures. Your message to Graham Harrop is one felt by all of us here. Very nice! 2old – that picture of the cat sitting at the table is priceless! I know that feeling. Rikki Tavi – love the pictures, especially the little duck one. Dry & Dusty – both your pictures are great but really love the cat and dog dressed up. Stay dry everyone. Rainy here today.
Hello, my dear cat friends who happen to be human. I have been working on thanksgiving food all day, and will also tomorrow and by Thursday will have everything ready. My ancient dog has pancreatitis and that has boggled my schedule a lot; but she is better today. It is hard to imagine my evenings without Ten Cats and y’all.
Husband and I spent Sunday working on our home-made cranberry relish. We use raw cranberries, whole oranges , cored apples and sugar. We used to use a grinder, but now have a food processer. Unfortunately word got out and friends and co workers have put in their requests for some. Thankfully we always make a lot. Hope y’all have a great Thanksgiving on Thursday and to all who have to travel, safe journey. Good thoughts and bunny hugs! Rose >^..^<
Happy Thanksgiving to all the lovely American people who comment on this strip and all the others at Go Comics. Hope your weather allows you all to travel to your families safely. Mid summer here in South Africa.
