Queen, I hope you feel better. I’m already back at work and dreading the inevitable first cold of the season. With 900 teenagers, it’s like Russian roulette. At least I’m at the High School this year and not at Petri Dish Elementary where illness stalks you around every corner.29, I don’t blame you for mining the easy vein of paint and iron. You are in a place where breakdowns are just begging to happen, (do they still have those huge barrels of water for overheats in the breakdown areas on I-10 East?) I laughed when I saw those as my air cooled van flew by. I’m sure that hill has made you and others more than milk money over the decades. I prefer to get off at Blythe, go through Needles and cross over at Parker Dam. I like to get back to the high desert faster and avoid Phoenix traffic.Fixing brakes or busting rock?It’s am easy decision!Pass the brake bleeder please..

I can’t believe any cat would throw away a paper bag. It’s the best toy and they already have it.

The one I goofed on…

No cat would give up a perfectly good paper sack.

For some reason, I can’t do a reply to LAST ROSE OF SUMMER – but this little kitten is exactly how I feel.

It is just like a cat to want presents on your birthday. That’s how we do it at my house. Who ever has the birthday gets to share a special meal with everybody else. The hands down favorite for the dog and 5 cats is canned chicken. That stuff stinks but they love it. Since 2 of my cats are litter mates everybody gets chicken 2 days in a row. On my birthday they get chicken and presents since I don’t celebrate my birthday anyway. Catnip are the kitties and extra frisbee time for the dog.

Someone needs to explain birthdays to Chesney and Jack.

A paper bag or empty box….the purrfect gift for a kitty. Considering how many generous humans commented above about ‘sharing’ their birthday gifts with their pets I must admit that I do too. And each pet gets a special treat in my home on their birthday!!!!

@Queen: Wish I had some chicken soup for you! Getting lots and lots of rest is so necessary.

My Oliver is once again asleep in that box near me. When he wakes up I will examine the mailing tape you secured it with. Doggies, eh?
