Good morning,everyone. I enjoyed all the advice yesterday on what diet cats should follow. Has anyone here tried Blue Wilderness food for their cats? I’m thinking of switching Yum Yum over to it but would appreciate some input first.

Baconboy: I keep forgetting to tell you: the kittens LOVE the yard rabbit! I see them drag it around, I find it in their bed, on the cat tree – everywhere.

I have been wondering about giving Joy more canned food or even a different dry food that is not a prescription diet, but made special for urinary tract health. Purina One has a urinary diet and I think if I went to PetSmart, I’d find others (maybe Iams?0 that are for urinary health. I had the option of using the Science diet Stress form of the C/D for urinary problems, but the vet said I would not need to use that type. It costs a lot more. I saw Joy in the litter box last night and a couple minutes after she left the litter box, there was a big wet spot in the litter right where she had been squatting. I hope it was hers, but then a couple minutes later, there she was in another litter box trying to pee. I was right there near the litter boxes the whole time and did not see another cat in the first litter box she visited, but since she went so soon to the other box, I have to wonder if another cat used the first box while my back was turned and I just didn’t see it.

The vet did a culture on her urine sample and it takes a few days to get the culture to “grow”, but I should get results on that on Monday or Tuesday. That will tell us if we need to put her on meds for a while.

Thanks to everyone for you comments and suggestions. But oh if Joy knew I was telling everyone about her pee problems, she would be so embarrassed! LOL.
