Thank you for your concern about the awful attack in Berlin, the capitol of Germany and about me. No, I was not in danger. I live in South Germany, in the northern part of Bavaria – Nuremberg is approx. 100 km = 62 miles south from my hometown. Berlin is located in North Germany (300 km = 186 miles northeast from my hometown in linear distance). But regardless of how may miles, it is such a cruel crime, what happened there in Berlin at the Christmas market. A big tragedy for all people who love to live in peace! And there is fear, too… no one knows what will happen next!

I dare not think about it could happen here in my birthtown (now I live in a small village near my birthtown). We too have a Christmas market. I do not understand, what happens in the heads of some people to destroy other people. Why? I have great fear!

Marge, please know that we are praying for you and the safety of Germany. We are praying that even the perpetrators be freed from the evil that is using them to commit such horrendous acts. It cannot and will not succeed.

Noreen, if memory serves me correctly, you are further east than me, correct? It’s cold here, but not as bad as it was. It got up to 40 today, a HEAT WAVE compared to 10 degrees a couple days ago! :-O

Marge, such beautiful pictures of your town. Thank you. Am very glad you are safe. The horror of the attack on the Berlin Christmas Market was awful. How people have such hatred in their minds and hearts is incomprehensible to me. My thoughts are with you and all of Germany.

Marge,So sad to hear about the nasty thing that happened in your beautiful country. Do not let it spoil your Holiday Season. That would be even more tragic.
