I had a phone call from my cousin, Becky, yesterday. She said that she has finished with her cancer treatments. She was given a certificate signed by the hospital staff and she got a pink ribbon and she got to ring a bell in celebration. She still has to take pills but the treatments are done.

I wrote a science fiction romance, now out of print, where the heroine had an alien kitty in her first scene. I started the scene, and the kitty announced to me that he was sentient, thank you very much, and the heroine didn’t need any guy because he was perfectly capable of keeping her safe and happy. It’s the only time a character ever talked back to me like that. Later, I had to justify why a cat race would evolve on an alien planet. I figured that small vermin like mice would be a standard thing on most planets because they are a natural part of ecologies, and cats are the perfect killing machines so cats on other planets.

I have always been on the lookout outdoors for unidentified meowing objects in the sky. :)

Blanking on the planet Overcat ruled – Felina, maybe? Underdog fought him when he sent a space fleet to steal Earth’s cows.

I once saw a movie called “The Cat from Outer Space.” Interesting, it has some similarities with E.T. (Although it came before E.T.) On another note, saw Two rabbits, four juncos, two robins, and two Steller’s jays while out walking today.
