I’m picturing the Mittens laid out on a beach towel, wearing his tiny sunglasses, with a paper umbrella in his water bowl, then being splashed by the Filthy Hound on his way back out of the water.
Kind of reminds me of the time when I got a letter saying I had won land in Florida. I was about 10,and was quite excited…until my mother explained that it was not exactly free, and was probably swamp land. I had filled out a card at the state fair, and was probably one of, oh, thousands of winners. But for a moment, I thought I was going to be rich. I would sell it, and buy out a toy store.
