On a related note, scientists have found that cats do understand and register the sound of their name and that it applies to them. They just don’t care sometimes and so ignore you. Which every cat owner EVER could have told scientists.
Our busy little female cat frequently presses the blanket on the bed with her paws. We didn’t even know it was wrinkled, but she gets right to that task.
Our house this morning. I washed the cat’s favourite duvet cover. She was snoozing on something else at the time, so I wrapped the warm cover around her. I don’t spoil that cat.
My cat Eleanor Roosevelt has been helping by bringing my clean socks and underwear upstairs from the laundry room. She has been doing that for about 6 months or so, but it has been even more helpful since I broke my hip

It’s nice of Mittens to lend a helping paw.

Um, what do you mean by “I spotted a pile of kitchen towels on the counter”? They were not spotted towels when I folded them.
