Brown paper bags are a good cat toy because they make a terrific crackling sound but be sure to cut any handles through. A cat can snag it’s head in the loop and panic dragging the bag around. A fun thing is to cut out one corner; cats love small holes. Kittens love to pounce on each other, taking turns in the bag. It’s very dramatic when one of them bursts out through the hole and rips the bag open.

Mittens is so cute. I wish I could meet her in person. I would, of course, bring boxes and brown paper bags as a gift.

My cats love cat traps (boxes) and paper bags. They’re easy to entertain, especially when a laser pointer is added to the fun.
