“Counter inspection” – one of my cats MUST perform this about once a month. If anything dangerous is up there (like a kitchen knife ((or a tasty meal))), I make a BIG DEAL about getting her down. Otherwise, I wait until she gets bored (about one minute), then wipe down the counter when she gets herself down.
The only time that my little Vlad did that when he was still with me was when those big flying palmetto bugs was there. Other than that, he didn’t want to be there.
