Modestly enlarged image can be found at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry (but it’s oil on wood). The Purveyor of Vegetables isn’t shown online by its current-location (Google translated). It is shown, with a different coloration framed image, and described, here (Bing translated). The village market was a common scene for this artist. His Wikipedia page and collection (more under Subcategories at each level).Second, of the 2 works, by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.

The one in the foreground looks to be eight months along. Is she reaching for something to sling at Lothario back there?

The woman looks astoundingly like Lola Naymark in “A Common Thread” (“Brodeuses”).

Were it spelt, “Cuopon”, it would be the former. But because it’s “Coupon” in the US it would be pronounced COWPON, to rhyme with route (ROWT)
