This laurel/yanny thing just came out. How did Melcher get it in the comics so fast?

Wrong way round, by all accounts. The kid should be hearing “Yanny”.

“Young lady, if you don’t agree it’s Yanny, you are no longer part of this family.”

Should be the other way around, since the young people are normally more sensitive to the higher frequencies. What I want is a slider to control the frequency bias. I hear “Laurel”, so I would flip the bias to the high end and start hearing “Yanni”, but as I slide the bias back towards the lower frequencies, I should find the point of confusion, That value will be a metric of two things: (1) My personal frequency sensitivity, and (2) How the particular sound system favors the frequencies it reproduces.

So why don’t the ENTs use this test?
