I fail to see the appeal/ of the sport of the rod and the reel/ while you stand in a brook /you’d best bring a book/ – no matter what lands in your creel.

That fish was of such vast proportions/ that it led to a string of misfortunes -/ for it wrought devastation/ on his whole reputation:/ he became known for shameless distortions !

You do not have to say anything. But, it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.
It’s a good thing I talked to that gentleman with a barometer to tell me when it is a good time to fish. A good catch! Let’s see … when did he say the next good fishing time would be?
