Jeanine smiled to herself as she descended the gangplank. She’d done it! She’d managed to smuggle Henri in the trunk past the unsuspecting gendarme. Now, safely onboard, they’d make their escape … or at least she would.
Jeanine had a little unpleasant surprise for Henri.

Madame is High maintenance. It is hard to believe her bowling ‘costume’ is even more eye catching. Though it still has some dried pizza sauce stains from her last tournament.
To the left of the lady, between her and the railing, there is something that looks like it is wrapped in a blanket. What the heck is that? Looks like it is either attached to the railing or is just hovering there. I can’t make sense of it. Anyone have a clue?

/// A lone woman begins her vacation
down the gangplank for The Embarkation
at Calais on the day
the great ship sails away,
and she smiles, thinking “Emancipation!”

to wear colors, and not widow’s weeds.
With a self-assured air
and distinct savoir faire
she’s determined and always succeeds.
