dad: woo! the playoffs are on!!
mom: sorry, but the baby beat you to the tv and is watching 'scooby-doo'!
dad: that monster is really the creepy caretaker!
We have had only one TV and it’s always been parent controlled. Fortunately for the kids I don’t watch TV though I do watch DVDs of movies and historical documentaries. Since I am the padre, bought the TV I have and the my wife have control.
When the kids were little and I was home I made it a point to share their shows. That meant the oldest girl fell asleep on my lap and I endured an hour of Letter People (painful) after Sesame Street so she could have her nap.
