My Alexa is actually Google. Whenever I ask her to do something for me and she does it, I thank her. When people ask me why I do that, I say it’s because when AI takes over the world someday, I want her to remember that I thanked her for doing stuff for me.
Her actual response would be: “I don’t know that”. But what would be cool is if she mimicked HAL’s voice saying “Sorry, I can’t do that Dave”. Or the Lost in Space robot saying “That does not compute”. Or maybe even John McEnroe’s voice saying “You CANNOT be serious!”
No one enjoys changing a dirty diaper, but jeez, if you can scoop up your dog’s poop or gather your cat’s litter, then you can change your own kid’s diaper. Babies cannot do it by themselves and if they could, trust me they would. If you do not make a scene about picking up after your pets, then do not make a fuss about taking care of your children, do not be such a “baby” about it.
