asap= as soon as POSSIBLE. Thus the rub. Possible is a relative term. ASAP is not a term meaning spead but rather a broad stroak allowing it to be done whenever convenient by the speaker while still giving a sense of urgency to the listener. Don’t call us, we’ll cal you if you will.
