The Born Loser by Art & Chip Sansom PAR 5 625 Yds. WHACK! Brutus: I swung so hard, I couldn't follow my shot! Did you see it, Chief? Mr. Veeblefester: I did - you really gave it a ride! I'd say it went over two hundred yards, easy! Brutus: Gosh! No kidding? But did it go straight, though? Mr. Veeblefester: Yes...straight up!

The original name of the game, while descriptive, wasn’t too appealing; so they reversed the four letters to get the current name…

My worst golf shot would have gone onto the adjacent fairway if it hadn’t nailed the marshal in the kidney and shot him out of the cart. No lie. Didn’t even have a chance to yell “FORE!!” I think that was the same day my group got behind a group of four guys and a woman playing best ball. The guys were hitting moon shots. Her tee shot came to rest about 20 yards in front of the tee box — and that was the best ball, because while the guys were hitting long, they were spraying them left and right out of bounds.
