I was about 8 years old when I first got my glasses. My first comment: “there are leaves on the trees!” I’d always seen trees as green blobs.

Born to be blind.

Got my first glasses while in college. Sunday after I got them was at church and congrigation sang “Amazing Grace”. The verse with “I WAS BLIND, BUT NOW I SEE” realy hit me – Oh how true it was.

Now, with beginning cataracts, the only way to correct my vision is with surgery, but it has to be more severe before insurance will pay for it. So, I’m doing a lot more guessing when I look now, especially when reading signs.

I did not appreciate wearing glasses most of my life, but now that I have glaucoma they don’t help much.

Got the cataract in my left eye removed a few months ago. Now have 20/25 vision in that eye. The right eye doesn’t bother me so we have to come up with a good reason for removal. And the colors I can see now are super better.

Oh, he needs glasses. Look how close he is to the TV. NEVER FORGET! 9-11.

Needed glasses when i was 11 and bifocals right off. Talk about walking funny till i got used to them . A few years later got one lens shot out in a BB gun fight. Have had lens implants for both eyes do to cataract.
