It is stupid. And it messes with captive animals who expect food at the same time each day. I gradually change schedules over a few days before each change because my birds are creatures of habit.
We do this because it gives the illusion of doing something without actually doing anything. That is why DST is now longer than “normal” time. Congress couldn’t agree on an energy policy so they extended DST.
In the spring I lose an hour plus another hour resetting my clocks. In the fall I gain an hour but lose an hour resetting my clocks. So each year I lose two hours.
Technology has changed drastically since 1918. Most people aren’t farmers or ranchers who need the extra hour of daylight. In the 21st century, it doesn’t make sense anymore.

At first it seem like a good idea. But I do not feel like getting up in the late afternoon to go to my job in the new “morning”.

The older I get, the more the time change bothers me. Takes about a week before my internal clock resets. Anyone else have this problem?

Remember a guy on the east border of a time zone is about a sun hour away from a person on the west. Stop DST. People will adapt.

DST since 1966. 75% of the population is younger than 52. Get used to it, most of you have known nothing but DST.

I’m from the Phoenix, Arizona metro area. What is this strange “Daylight Savings Time” concept you’re talking so much about? ;/
