They probably will have to redo all of them now for Political Correctness.

As though they could actually improve on it.

I don’t think they have improved on the original of any movie they have remade.

If that’s the case then Brutus better stay away from the reboots of Murphy Brown, Will and Grace, S. W. A. T., Last Man Standing and MacGuyer or else he’ll feel like he’s ready to collect Social Security.

I generally hate all remakes. Even Titanic with DiCaprio is less than the last remake. Of course, I love the remake of The Ten Commandments with Brynner and Heston since that was the one I saw first. Though it was a remake, it was in color and a talkie.

But, the remake of Hawaii Five-O hasn’t inspired me to watch it, yet. I still enjoy seeing old episodes of the original. And, it has taken me a while get used to Star Trek Enterprise, though at first I hated it. And Next Generation galls me with their lack of knowledge of what transpired before in the first series.

And the remake of Magnum, PI just doesn’t cut it with me. Come on!? A young, female Higgins? Gimme a break!

SWAT – good; Hawaii 5-0 – OK used to ti (at least they started it with showing that old Mercury he drove around it); Magnum PI – didn’t like it at first but growing on me.

The upcoming Mary Poppins? No Thanks.

That’s the Hollywood mantra, “Everything old is new again”…

And it loses the message that “Christmas doesn’t come from a store…”

On the bright side…, it’s WAY better than the Jim Carrey version!
