Even better is “fartlek” (Swedish) training. It’s interval running i.e., jog hundred yard then walk a hundred yards. That’s how aborigines run down game in the outback African plains. They form a line of 4-5 runners spaced 5 yards apart and start running towards the game at half speed. The last runner speeds to the front raises his hand. Then the runner who is now last races to the front and the raises his hand. This cycle is repeated. There is always one runner going full tilt towards the game. Eventually the animal’s leg muscles cramp and it collapses.

Walk 5 km while eating the chocolate after each meal and see what happens.
