I remember our first date. I did not show up. She was not going to except that. We have been married 58 years now.

He’s obviously remembering another first date.

I have two pop up reminders on my calendar app, not that I need them. “Met for the first time” and two days later “Best first date in the history of the world”. That was 32 years ago and I still remember them vividly.

“Ah,I remember it well”

So…who was I with when I had the steak then?

Oh! I thought you meant the first date that I remembered.

There’s an incongruity in any thought with the words “Thornapple” and “swanky steakhouse”.

I have the best excuse for not remembering when I first met my wife: I was a few months short of 3 years old and she was a newborn infant.
