Hay, I might try that sometime.

The way some people cook, it might be.

I have heard of cheese served over pie, but never had the pleasure of eating the dish.

I think it is when she just wears an apron while serving the cake.

Cheesecake is one of my favorite desserts.

People used to have a slice of cheddar cheese with apple pie… It always seemed odd to me, but someone who has had that combo would have to explain how and why ;-)

Don’t know why the mother should be disappointed with that response.. Willberforce only knows the culinary delights his mother has fed him.

My fifth grade teacher, many years ago, taught us grammar with the phrase, “apple pie and cheese is my favorite dessert”. (unusual case of singular verb with plural subject). I tried it, it was good, and I do it often.

Googled the question of pie with cheese — something I’ve heard of but never wanted to try — and found this, among the millions of hits:

Of course I know what cheesecake is (especially my homemade): cheesecake is Heaven.

Cheesecake is ambrosia, a gift of the gods, but why does it have to have so damn many calories and so much saturated fat.
