Finally! Rancid says something I can agree with. Kudos to Brutus though, how can a person not appreciate his optimism?

I remember my first martini. I was 24 years old and had just moved into my first apartment after getting out of the Air Force. In the apartment next to the laundry room lived an old retired couple and he would sit out front drinking martinis. One day I was doing laundry and he asked if I wanted one. I, thinking of tuxedos, James Bond, shaken, not stirred and all that stuff said “Sure!” Holy smokes, it was awful! It tasted like lighter fluid! The second one wasn’t bad though.

And now you know the real reason the company is failing drunk management. My mother used to work at a place in Oakbrook and serve the 4 hour martini lunch crowd. Yeah, they had so much work to do. On average, upper corporate management works, and work being a relative term, maybe 2 hours a day, despite taking the lions share of the profits. Yet when things go the other way they’ll go to the greatest hits, minimum wage is too high (far from because of inflation), the workers aren’t working hard enough, despite actual production being at an all time high per worker. Nope, upper management can never find fault in themselves, but take credit for everyone else’s hard work, yup, they can do that.
