Cooking or heating up food on a car’s engine or exhaust manifold used to be a thing. These days with all that plastic under the hood you would be lucky to find a spot hot enough.
One year in the Bahamas, a lady who cooked for one of the better hotels, made up plates from the excess food and brought them around to some of the smaller resorts to people who didn’t feel like cooking. She had a fabulous rep and the food was great and transported in her car. You had to call ahead sometimes. She and her meals were popular. ;-)

A tacos truck on local service station site does a lot of business. I assume it’s food they are selling mostly.

Got to start some place. Breakfast with doughnuts and coffee just might work in the space.

There was one time on M*A*S*H when Charles ate pheasant from a can. I would rather do that than eat food out of the trunk of that guys car.

Some do that for picnics, reunions, games, business and more. Table top and easy assemble grills are helpful.
