This is new to me but I understand Gladys. For example, I often forget what I wanted to do within a few seconds. But, being out of tune like a broken bell from now on I will avoid singing.
I gave up singing, and mot just for Lent. Many years ago people were kind enough to point out that my singing was really bad. But I didn’t quit right away. I just did it in private. That is until the day that I was driving in my car alone singing with the radio and the other drivers begged me to stop singing. ;-)
We got a full size keyboard for my wife recently, turns out I end up playing it more than she does. Best feature is it has a headphone jack. I find that learning/playing new songs helps with my memory. (I made a reference to Louis Armstrong a few days back… that was one of the songs I recently learned.)
My sister in law, which is more like a sister, likes to needle me about singing with the radio. She actually enjoys it when me and her boyfriend get together and play guitars and sing. Poor Brutus. Gladys is serious.
I can imagine that singing can reduce memory loss. There was a time, when I was ten, that “Puff the Magic Dragon” got stuck in my head for days and I couldn’t forget it ! Pretty amazing, huh?

Mom couldn’t carry a tune and neither can my brother nor I. In fact, Mom and I almost made Dad run off the road on a long trip in ’46.

It’s not a factor of what YOU remember doing Brutus as much as it is what SHE remembers you doing.;D

She’s more worried that you’ll sing show tunes.

I rarely agree with Gladys but on this one I will. Your memory is not that bad. Don’t upset the household any more than it already is Brutus…….
