I don’t remember seeing Brutus being self critical. He always seems to take his failures in stride. As my mother often said, “Don’t cry over split milk” and “That’s water under the bridge.” Brutus doesn’t seem to be critical of anything or anyone. What criticism exists, is borne by others, especially Veeblefester and Brutus’ mother-in-law.
Yeah it’s not worth it to cry over spilled milk. However once at my marriage night I cried when I dropped a glass of Château Rothschild. At $1,000 a bottle, that was $200 smashed onto the floor!! Just like that, snap fingers!
I had a boss who was very hands on equipment. If someone helping him made a mistake it was ok. Never yelled at or blamed anybody. But if he screwed up, a tirade of f bombs went on for 10 minutes, yelling at himself.
In Brutus’s case, I believe that he is correct. He’s like me in that regard. I’m tough in myself when I screw up. However, don’t ever disagree with the guy that signs your paycheck…..
I bet Veeblefester and Mother Gargle do a tag team on giving Brutus a hard time. I suspect they message each other when Brutus is on his way to work or on his way home.

He keeps him employed so he ALWAYS has a scapegoat to blame.

When Brutus criticises himself, hopefully he learns and grows. That makes him his own best critic.

Man’s worst critic is always his wife. Gay community has 2 husband’s, does that mean no critics, then what about 2 wives..

So Brutus’ job is to give his boss something to complain about. He is a very good employee by those standards!
