Rightfully so. However, employees should be recognized and rewarded for extra diligence in performing their jobs and better parking spaces is a simple, economical and very effective way of rewarding them…..

I once worked as a salesman for the local Sears store. The assistant manager in charge of personnel just happened to own a vacant piece of land right next door. He rented parking spaces out to the employees and then made rules that required employees to not park on the store’s parking lot. The word went out that if you wanted to keep your job, you had to rent a parking space from him. Fortunately for me, my job was only a temp job and only part time and was only for the Xmas period.
