I always thought that labor day should be the only day of the year that you had to work.

The kid makes sense.

It’s a day in honor of all the people who work for a living.

It should probably be called First Monay In September or Retail Day.

Oh, I don’t know, Wilbur. My grandfather, a farmer, once asked another farmer, his brother-in-law, what he was going to be doing on Labor Day. His reply, “Oh, I guess I’ll just do some more labor.”

Poor Brutus. He has a day off, he isn’t bothering anybody and still gets criticized for what he’s doing, or perhaps not doing. The guy can’t catch a break.

One of the reasons for the shrinking middle class, nobody remembers it commemorates Labor, not labor. Unions are the reason workers have the right to free time.

Poor guy works for an ogre and is enjoying a well deserved day off. Give Dad some slack. And maybe thanks and a hug.

Poor Brutus. I am gonna join his “revolt” today and relax.

Brutus maybe needs a better hiding place for his non-labors.

Kewpie! Dogs usually are very happy to be right with anyone taking a nap.

Labor Day should be on May 1 like most of the world.

It’s because we labored to lie around and nap for a day.

It’s in honor of all the women in labor today having babies. Trust me, that is what they would say. Though honoring the working person is something we should acknowledge everyday, it has become a day of rest and celebration. However, we should always remember what it does stand for. So get out there and Bar B Que Brutus. Time’s a waisting……

Reading the Wiki page on it – Labour Day sounds a bit like celebrating socialist achievements to me.

Labor Day is just to remind us that summer is almost over, so forget the fun and games, it’s time to get back to work, unless of course you are retired.
